God is a Consuming Fire and He is Holy. The fire of His holiness can radiate. Psalms 97:3, “Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.”
We can absorb this holiness that surrounds Him by lingering in His manifest living glory - much like Moses who stood before a burning bush until he became a Flame of Fire (Hebrews 1:7). Moses absorbed a measure of the glory of God's holiness in such a way that he released deliverance to a nation. I believe that "absorbable" holiness will fill a generation of believers soon to be dispatched to the nations.
Will you remain in the holy presence until you "catch" it and become a burning one, a flame of fire to have the manifest burning presence of God Himself on display for the world? (See Isaiah 6:6-7).
The presence of His consuming fire (Malachi 3:2-4, Zechariah 13:9) will consume to cleanse, refine and purify us so that we can work with Him in Oneness, in greater measure and in obedience bearing the mark of true Sonship/disciple that:-
- we are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:7) and manifest Jesus - Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). The old has gone, the new has come.
- the fire will consume the dross in your life to make you His pure earthly vessel, free from bondages, die-to-self, which includes everything that is contrary to the fruit of the Spirit, making you more into the image of Christ.
- it purges the dross of wrong purposes and motivations, leaving behind a concentrated focus on the things of God.
- it trims away unnecessary desires of life, leaving behind the one burning desire to fulfill your God-given destiny and calling.
- it melts away all the resistance that the enemy puts in your way to prevent you from proclaiming God's message.
- it removes doubt, unbelief and fear.
The fire of God will transform believers from lukewarm to on fire for Him.
