The Radiance of God’s Glory

God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). God’s  light resting on His earthly vessels will be reflected in the life of His vessels, supported by:

• Exodus 34:29-30 — Moses’ face shone with radiance unknowingly after speaking with God in His presence for 40 days in the burning bush so much that the Israelis were afraid to approach him.

The radiance (light) of God will clear the dullness and bondage shown in the face of His earthly vessels.

This recalled an earlier memory: as a teen, a Christian girl told me my face revealed much bondage. So was a group of pastors/leaders who had to pray and clear my bondages revealed on my face in a California Seminary 2004. 

Genuine spiritual encounter with the Baptism of Fire (Matthew 3:11-12) purifies, clears inner bondage and produces visible, outward radiance that reflects God’s glory to others.

It signifies the Spirit of Glory and of God rests upon the earthly vessels to reflect the radiance of Christ on display for the world as depicted in the followings:-

1 Peter 4:14:-

“If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.”

Isaiah 60:5

“Then you will look and be radiant,

your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.”

2 Corinthians 3:7-8

“If the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?”

'Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

Hosting His Glory (2}

We are living in the most exciting time where God will be pouring out His Spirit on all people (Joel 2:28) and revealing His greater glory (Haggai 2:9).

We are blessed when the Spirit of Glory and of God fills and rests upon us (1 Peter 4:14), as we become vessels that host His presence - like the Ark of the Lord.

2 Samuel 6:11

The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household.

The Spirit of Glory and of God resting upon an earthly vessel is not something one can simply claim to possess. It is evidenced when such a vessel walks into a meeting and the place is set ablaze with the manifest presence of Jesus, as seen in the video below:-

Hosting His presence requires the disciple’s full surrender - to deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Jesus (Mark 8:34), leaving everything behind in order to host this rare and desirable gift.

Proverbs 18:16

“A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.”

Isaiah 55:5

“Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.”

God has led respected leaders, including celebrity, to travel great distances to attend my meetings in USA and elsewhere - to receive impartation, or to be restored and transformed. It was also awesome to see how some were led to visit me through dreams and visions.

However, it comes with a price when the Spirit of God and His glory rests upon you. The insults and criticisms that may come your way can be part of the cost of being a vessel chosen to carry His presence. As 1 Peter 4:14 says:-

“If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.”

Testimony - Hosting His Glory

If the Spirit of Glory and of God rests on His earthly vessel (Zech 4:6, 1 Peter 4:14), His glory will work through the vessel while the vessel rests in Him (Matthew 11:28-30)

It is blessed to have the glory of God rested on us. But God’s fire must first purify the vessel in order to rest His glory on them (pls read 2 Chronicles 7:1-2). Watch the following video to understand how the Lord works through His earthly vessel:-

In the above video, the glorious flame from the earthly vessel radiated and surged through the audiences as he walked by. Praise God!

A man of God wrote:- “Glory is the manifested presence of Jesus. Revival is filled with stories of His manifest presence resting upon His people. HE lives in all believers, but the glory of His presence comes to rest on only a few.”

God is fire. Fire is energy and power to ignite and set the ground ablaze to draw the children back to the heart of God. Without God’s fire, there is no revival and spiritual awakenings.

In a recent conference held in Taiwan, the glorious flame radiated and touched my Taiwanese Interpreter and he was frozen under the weight of His glory. Another interpreter who took over, was also frozen. This is a norm in my meetings for the glorious flame to surge through my interpreters and also some of the listeners to bless them with the Baptism of Fire.

This also happened during the ‘Daniel Anointing Conference’ held in Kajang, Malaysia. Following are testimonies posted by Ps Timothy Tang:-

“During the Daniel Anointing conference, many prophets n pastors from China, Malaysia, Taiwan received the baptism of fire during Ps Paul Ang’s ministry. They were totally amazed by the fire & electricity running through their hands & bodies for many hours.”

And Ps Alex, who was my interpretor, how he was struck by the fire of Holy Spirit.

六月份在马来西亚参加特会时，我经历了圣灵之火特别的浇灌。当时我正为一位分享“神就是烈火”的讲员担任翻译，在翻译的过程中，我感受到圣灵烈火的恩膏强烈地临到身上。

聚会茶歇时，我为预备下一场翻译走上舞台。一踏上舞台，便感受到圣灵厚重、强烈的同在。那时，内心清楚地听见神的话：“此时此刻，你要选择顺服跪下，否则必被击倒在地。”我只能选择顺服，当场跪下。

从那之后，我对圣灵有了更深、更直接的认识。常常在圣灵充满时，能感觉到双手像有火焰在燃烧。后来也有弟兄姊妹分享，在我们聚会中曾闻到火焚烧的焦味，并感受到圣灵烈火的恩膏异常强烈。

In June, during a conference in Malaysia, I experienced a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit’s fire. While interpreting for a speaker sharing on “God is a consuming fire,” I felt the intense anointing of the Spirit’s fire come upon me.

During the tea break, as I stepped onto the stage to prepare for the next session, a heavy and tangible presence of the Holy Spirit overwhelmed me. In my heart, I clearly heard God’s word: “Now, choose to kneel in surrender, or you will be struck to the ground.” I could only choose to obey and kneel.

Since that experience, I have come to know the Holy Spirit more deeply and directly. Often, when filled with the Spirit, I feel a burning sensation in my hands, as if touched by fire. Some brothers and sisters have also shared that during our gatherings, they could smell the scent of burning and felt the unusually strong anointing of the Holy Spirit’s fire.

Guard Your Anointing

There is a difference between the anointing of spiritual gifts and the anointing of the Spirit of God resting on a person. Spiritual gifts from God are irrevocable (Roman 11:29), but the Spirit of Glory can depart from the person.

King Saul had the anointing of the gift of prophecy and the anointing of God’s Glory which was God’s manifest presence. However, due to the sin of disobedience (1 Samuel 15:22-23), the Spirit of God’s glory departed from him, and an evil spirit from God tormented him (1 Samuel 16:14). The spiritual gift of prophecy did not depart from Saul and he could still prophesize with the anointing of the gift of prophecy.

1 Samuel 18:10

“The next day an evil spirit from God came forcefully on Saul. He was prophesying in his house, while David was playing the lyre, as he usually did. Saul had a spear in his hand.”

The Spirit of Glory and of God resting on us is an awesome blessing. God is a Consuming Fire and His glorious flame resting on us makes us ‘Flames of Fire’ (Hebrews 1:7). His glorious flames will protect us as mentioned in Psalm 97:3, “Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.”

A man of God wrote: “Glory is the manifested presence of Jesus. HE lives in all believers, but the glory of His presence comes to rest on only a few.”

God’s glory resting on a disciple of Jesus is a very unique treasure from heaven. However, very few have such privilege of having the Spirit of Glory resting on them.  

Before Jesus sent out the twelve disciples, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases (Luke 9:1). Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me” (Mark 8:34). Hence, a disciple must meet this requirement to fully surrender himself. And the greatness of a man’s power and authority is in the measure of his surrender. Church attendance does not equal surrender.

Every disciple is a believer but not every believer is a disciple worthy to be a purified vessel to host the Spirit of Glory. If every believer will choose to be a disciple, we will easily and rapidly win the world for Jesus.

Are you willing to be a disciple to have His glorious flame refine and purify you so that your body being the temple of God is worthy to host His glory like the dedication of Solomon’s temple (2 Chronicles 7:1-2)? 

Any vessel that has the Spirit of Glory resting on him must value and guard this heavenly treasure at all times and at all cost.

A man of God wrote in the Manifesto for a Normal Christian Life:-

“His presence is not upon us to be commandeered or directed by us. Instead, we are tools in his hand. If there is a dove resting on my shoulder in the natural and I don’t want it to fly away, how am I going to walk around this room? Every step will be with the dove in mind. Every movement I make will be to preserve what I value most.”

My First Mission Trip

Jesus talked about the seat of honour and the seat of the least important place in Luke 14:7-11. This reminded me that I was a proud and a very arrogant businessman. After the glorious flame of God surged through me in a seminary in Los Angeles 2004 like lightning, I was instantly transformed into a flame of fire (Hebrews 1:7). Paul too, had an instant transformation after a light from heaven flashed around him on his way to Damascus (Acts 9:3). 

It is the Baptism of Fire that will transform lives.

With the fire encounter, God has put a new heart and a new spirit in me removing from me a heart of stone (hardened heart) and give me a heart of flesh (compassion). And He put His Spirit in me and move me to follow His decrees so that I will be careful to keep His laws as in (Ezekiel 36:26-27).

After the awesome baptism of fire in 2004, I followed the President of the Bible Seminary on mission trips. In my first mission trip, a Church where a revival meeting was being held, I took a seat at the back row of the fully packed church as I was too shy to sit with the affluent mission team members. Firstly, I was inadequately dressed and also for my convenience if I require to go to the washroom.

However, I was invited by the usher to sit in the front row. The seat was left vacant by the hosting pastor who had to give a welcoming speech. 

Hence, I was given the seat between two other pastors who were dressed in full suits. Minutes after I sat down, both the pastors who sat between me were thrown and fell prostrate on the floor. I did not realise then that it was the Spirit of Glory rested upon me so thick and heavy that radiated upon them after I sat in between both of them.

2 Chronicles 7:2

“The priests could not enter the temple of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled it.”

The experience began my spiritual journey with God giving me many amazing testimonies witnessed by many having the Spirit of Glory and of God resting upon me (1 Peter 4:14).
