Conferment - Doctor of Pneumatology

I received a big and pleasant birthday gift this year, and I am truly honoured to be conferred an Honorary Doctor of Pneumatology degree by California River of Life University, USA for my ministry work with them.

I praise God and I thank Dr Jin Kim and Dr Mi Kim of the University for this conferment.

My thanks to all of you for your congratulatory messages sent to me which I can’t include all in this article.

The conferment of a Doctor of Pneumatology is indeed an amazing gift from God, the correct word for my unusual calling in the part of the Body of Christ to help more effectively in my work with Him, for His purpose and glory.

The word Pneumatology comes from two Greek words which mean "wind, air, spirit" and "word" - combining to mean "the study of the Holy Spirit." Pneumatology is the study of God the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity.

The study of Pneumatology is of immense benefits to the Christian. Working with God in Oneness

Proverbs 11:14

“Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.”

By His love and grace, God has positioned matured Spirit-filled and Spirit-led prophetic & discerning counsel to protect us in ensuring that whatever we do, are in the will of God. And God will intervene to set it right if we make a mistake. On several occasions, we have witnessed such grace and favour from Him to intervene and correct whenever we make mistakes in discerning wrongly.

Think about Jesus ministry - how simple but yet how powerful it was? What was his secret?

Jesus was Spirit-filled, Spirit-led. Jesus really only did three things in His whole life.

He did what the Father told Him to do,
He went where the Father told Him to go.
He said what the Father told Him to say.

This is the evidence of a spiritually matured person, a person who is full of the Spirit and will work for God in unity as Jesus said in John 14:11, "Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves."

In my 12th speaking session for the California Zoom on March 5, the Holy Spirit already was pouring down His fire when the time was given for me to share. Hence, I just kept silent and passed the time to the Holy Spirit, rested in Him while He worked.

When we are flames of fire (Hebrew 1:7), we are like Elijah & Elisha who knew the Spirit of God, and when the glory was present or when it was not. It is the way to work with God in Oneness in His manifest presence.

David’s ability of achieving spiritual breakthroughs are:-

• David habitually inquired of God (1 Chr. 14:10, 14)

• David heard from God (1 Chr. 14:14).

• David did as God directed him (1 Chr. 14:16).

Spiritual Manifestation - Trembling

In our ZOOM Live Broadcast, questions repeatedly had been thrown to us by the participants on why they trembled when I spoke the word. Many experienced the trembling for the first time in our ZOOM meeting.

People trembling in the presence of God is a common sight in our meetings as God comes in His fire and glory. It is an awesome display of the fear of God. We must not only put God on display for the world to see through the powerful demonstration of His word but to demonstrate the radiance of God shining out from us for the world to see that even demons could see (Mark 5:6-7, Acts 16:16-17).

When I preached the word in a seminar to about 40 pastors in China, most of the pastors were trembling and shaking like leaves in their seats, for the Lord said in Isaiah 66:2, “ ... This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.”

1 Samuel 16:4, “Samuel did what the LORD said. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town TREMBLED when they met him. They asked, “Do you come in peace?”

Hebrews 12:21, "The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, I am trembling with fear."

Acts 16:29, "The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas."

Acts 7:32, "I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. ’ Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look."

In our School of Fire Starters the students trembled under fire impartation and their ministries became more effective in reaching out to save souls in the Great Commission. A sister testified that the fire has spread to Hubei province with souls saved.

We cannot gauge any encounter by its outward physical manifestations. We measure it by the fruit of a changed lifestyle.

Fire Starters School - Students’ Testimonies

Eric, who attended our School of Fire Starters in February 2019, commented about his experience at the school :-

“The 7 days’ lessons were priceless. Only the highest diamond vessel could host God’s manifest presence so mightily and deliver spiritual lessons with such a great demonstration of God’s power. I believe him to second to none, especially for impartation to the warriors. I have listened to hundreds of international speakers, as my America pastor, Ps Rick Seaward was well-connected in the world arena, often bringing guest speakers of the highest international standing, yet I have never experienced spiritual impartation at this level.”

Attending several anointed conferences:-

In 1994, our church invited Rodney Howard Brown Ministries and we were turned upside down for a good purpose. Those pastors who were rather stern, were all brought to a state we had never seen before. They were either on fire or laughing for days and weeks, filled with the joy and anointing of the Lord. It was a very refreshing time. Prov 17:22, tells us, “ A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bone.” I was hit by the laughter too, as in the Joy of the Lord.

I have sat under Morris Cerullo, Roy Duman, Rodney Howard Brown, Dr Cho Yonggi, Lester Sumrall, Jim Baker, John Bevere and etc. The healing ministries were glorious demonstrations of God’s awesome presence n authority.

Pastor Paul K P Ang and Ps Esther Yap’s calling are unique, a supreme class of its own. To be able to host God’s Manifest Presence consistently and grow from glory to glory speaks volumes of their lives in the presence of God.

Working with God

In 2008, the Lord told me to hand over the ministries to the youth leader, and to commence writing blog articles about our ministries in preparation for our mission to a neighbouring country for our new season. We obeyed. On January 1, 2009, God told us to leave for our mission.

It was effortless as He provided us with the name of the person to contact in the neighbouring country for the sanctuary needed for our ministries. God provided everything including the fund, resources and led in the leaders and co-workers for our ministries.

The mark of a disciple is to work in the ways of God, keeping His requirements and commands; not to move ahead nor to miss His perfect time. This is Sonship and true humility in God’s sight. We can learn this from Moses in Exodus 33:12-13 where he told the Lord “... TEACH ME YOUR WAYS so I may know you and continue to find favor with you...”

J. Hudson Taylor:- “God's WORK done in God's WAY and will never lack God's SUPPLY.”

A man of God wrote:- “The safest place in this war is obedience. In the center of His will, we face only the situations we are equipped to win. Outside of the center is where many Christians fall, facing undue pressures that are self-inflicted. His will is the only safe place to be."

Don’t live a life outside the will of God because to do so will be to live a life outside the blessing of God. Listen to this sermon by Dr Charles Stanley ...

Disobedient Jonah & the Obedient Great Fish

The Bible is very clear about God’s judgement and His wrath on the wicked as written in Psalms 75:10, “All the horns of the wicked I will also cut off, But the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.”

The Lord commanded Jonah in Jonah 1:2, “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” But Jonah disobeyed and ran away, went abroad and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the LORD.”

Disobedience to God’s command is wickedness in His sight. Because of Jonah’s disobedience, the LORD provided a great fish to swallow him. Jonah was inside the fish three days and three nights, a grace period given for him to decide whether he would obey God.

In distress, Jonah cried out to the Lord, prayed and sang a song of THANKSGIVING to the Lord.

Charles Spurgeon: “The deeper our troubles the louder our thanks to God.”

It is very scary when the Lord looks at us not to bless us but to judge us. I went through 7 years of painful mishaps with both businesses and my health severely affected. God was dealing with my arrogance, pouring down His Spirit of humility upon me to break the spirit of pride before He could use me for an unusual calling. The calling requires me to fully surrender my entire life, leaving everything behind to carry the cross and follow Him as per Matthew 19:29:-

“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.”

As a chosen vessel to work with God faithfully ... being the called, chosen and to be faithful to this unusual calling (Revelation 17:14), I have been living in isolation, and confined in God’s Sanctuary for 15 years now since 2006.

Had Jonah refused to submit, the obedient great fish would be delighted to have a delicious meal and God would raise up another ... Psalms 75:7, “But it is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.”
