Testimony - Led to pray for Revival

 

This is Rev Dr Leow Hong Too’s short version of his journey to obey King Jesus:

I want to share how God led me to Wilmore to pray for revival. I will try to be as honest as I can so that I will not take credit from God; God knows my heart.

 

In Aug 2015,  I came to Asbury Theological Seminary, as a visiting scholar from Malaysia Bible Seminary (accompanied by my wife) until early June 2016.

On Feb 21 2016, I received a Revival Dream in Wilmore. I am from a conservative Church background, which do not believe in modern day dreams and visons from God. I even preached against dreams and visions. But, I truly believe 100% that the Bible is God's Word, so we need to study diligently. I humbled myself to test this dream to see if it was from God or not. I shared this with Dr. Robert Coleman, my respected Evangelism professor back in 1990-1993 Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and he told me that God may use me to start a revival in USA or in Malaysia. At that time, my response was "What?". I also shared this dream with my professor Dr. Craig Keener, a highly respected New Testament Scholar, I asked him if I should take this dream seriously. He responded that I should. With their affirmations, since then I kept praying daily for this revival to be fulfilled.

 

In Dec 2017, while my wife and I came to Asbury Seminary again on holidays, God spoke to me clearly, asking me to come to Wilmore, praying fulltime for revival in person in Wilmore. God asked me to quit my teaching job and come here to pray for revival. I got paid for teaching but I got no pay for praying. Jesus promised He would take care of me and my wife, just to trust Him alone.

 

So in Nov 2018, I quit my teaching job which I enjoyed very much from Malaysia Bible Seminary as a sign that I want to trust God for this new mission to pray for Wilmore revival. 

 

September 15 2019, I came to Wilmore first and then my wife followed in November that year. We settled down in Wilmore and my praying for Revival fulltime officially began. I spent a couple of hours daily praying for revival, walking around, joined many prayer groups, seeking signs that would sparkle the revival. To be honest, during these periods, sometimes I was disappointed, frustrated, going through “motions of praying”, and also a bit lost what I was doing here in Wilmore. A caring Chinese elder was very concerned about me, asking me to find a job.  There are so many Chinese Churches without pastor. I refused the offer and stayed very focused on praying for revival.

 

In June 2020, God spoke to me clearly that I should carry signboards (signs of repentance, call to revival etc) while walking-running almost everyday in Wilmore for about 2 years. This got the attention from local residents, preparing them for revival. But I did not know how much they paid attention to my seemingly silly actions. Some did pray for me to persevere in praying for revival. It was not easy as I had to go out carrying signs during winter time for an hour. Some came to me asking why I was doing this. But they were encouraged by what I did.

 

In May 2022, we received a urgent call to serve the homeless in New York City. (We served homeless people in Lexington from November 2020 until May 2022) after praying for 2 years and 8 months full time in Wilmore. Actually I started praying for revival since February 2016. So, all together, it is about 7 years. I felt my call to pray for Revival has not completed but God told me that He will not send revival, while I was still here. 

 

God has promised me that after we left Wilmore for New York City, He will then send revival, so I may not be prideful or take credit for the revival. God is good to me. I did not know when God was going to do it. But after 8 months, revival came to Asbury University Chapel. When I heard about this, God wanted me to come right away. So, I booked ticket and flew from New York City. God is faithful and almighty. He promised He would do it and HE DID IT.

Arise, shine, for your light has come (Isaiah 60:1)

Once, I sneaked into a meeting conducted by a prophet in a seminary. During the altar call, the prophet whom I met for the first time, called me to step forward to receive a word from the Lord. After he had delivered a message to me, he handed over the microphone to me, asking me to pray for him. 

Before I had finished the second sentence of my prayer, the fire power of God threw him onto the floor. With the guest speaker on the floor, the president of the Seminary then told me to minister to the congregation.

 

In a restaurant recently, a pastor came close to me. She felt a force zapped through her belly and she was thrown 5 ft away to the floor. She shared her testimony through the link:-

Such phenomenon is normal when the Lord rests and rises, appearing His manifest glory (Light) upon and over His earthly vessel (Isaiah 60:1-2, Matthew 11:28-30). Moses’s face was radiant with the light of God after being in the burning bush that the Israelites were afraid to come near to him (Isaiah 34:29-30).

 

When His manifest glory (Light) rests on us, there is no need to even utter any prayer and the Lord said in Isaiah 65:24, “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”

 

Every Disciple is a Believer but not Every Believer is a Disciple. God places a very high standard and requirement for His earthly vessel to carry His manifest glory. 

We must have the manifest presence of God Himself on display for the world.

 

A renowned man of wrote: “Glory is the manifested presence of Jesus. Revival is filled with stories of His manifest presence resting upon His people. HE lives in all believers, but the glory of His presence comes to rest on only a few.”

A Forthcoming Revival in Greater Glory (Haggai 2:9)

We may have our theological differences due to the nature for each of our specific calling but we all love our Lord Jesus Christ and it is in His name that we utter to proclaim the message of Matthew 10:7-8.

 

And as Jesus commanded, “As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.’”

 

Let us all be reminded that …

 

“The Healing Revival of North America from the mid 1940’s to the late 1950’s is one of the greatest recorded moves of God in modern history. People were receiving healings and miracles it seemed like on every corner during that revival. Healing evangelists known and unknown were springing up everywhere, there hundreds sitting up gospel tents all across the United States. 

 

William Branham was the forerunner of the revival and A.A. Allen was the latter evangelist who was used at the end of that revival, and what a revival it was. I truly believe another healing revival is in our midst, but this one will make the last one pale in comparison. In prayer I heard the Holy Spirit say in this next move of God, notable miracles which will include creative miracles, resurrections from the dead and instant deliverances will be in this next move tremendously.”

“It was on a Friday night, 30th April, 2021, when my professor and his wife were at a shopping centre in Singapore, and he suddenly collapsed and fell to the floor. Ambulance came, and when they put the machine on him, his heartbeat was a flat line. 

 

When his wife called me, crying away, I told her to hang on and strictly not to remove or turn off the support machine from him. At that point in time, I happened to be at Dr. Paul KP Ang's place for a meeting. I TOLD DR PAUL ABOUT MY FRIEND'S CALL AND THAT IF I SHOULD USE THE NEW HANDKERCHIEF THAT HE HAD PRAYED OVER AND WAS GIVEN ME A WEEK BEFORE, FOR ME TO PLACE ON THE SICK. 

 

My heart sank when he didn't answer me, but I knew he was seeking the Lord for His instruction. About half an hour later, he took the handkerchief, prayed over it, and told me to place it on his body. My husband and  I rushed to the hospital. Because of COVID restrictions, we were unable to go up to place it on him. Professor's wife, Margaret, met us at the entrance of the hospital, and I told her  specifically to take the handkerchief and place it on any part of his body. She did so accordingly on his forehead. She testified that within an hour, his eyelids opened. I called her the next day, and we prayed over him for nearly an hour via video. The handkerchief was still on his body, and the presence of the Lord was so strong that Margaret almost couldn't stand up. An hour later, Professor moved up his right hand and waved. After that, he was able to respond to the doctor and his wife. By Sunday, the 2nd day, we were permitted to see him but only one at a time. He was already sitting up, walking, and joking.

My husband, Dr Daniel Phua is a medical doctor, and we know that if someone’s heartbeat had stopped for a while, even if they recover, there could be brain damage or other issues. Pofessor’s heartbeat had stopped for a while. But Professor Andrew walked out of the hospital, fully recovered, and is living back his normal life as if nothing had happened. Praise be to God! This is indeed a miracle!

We are now seeing the book of Acts coming to life as written in Acts 19:11-12:-

“God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured, and the evil spirits left them”.

 

I am so grateful I was able to witness this miracle, and now I’m certain we are going to see the greater glory of God, of miracles, signs, and wonders.

When some of the Pharisees were arguing that Jesus was not from God and did not know where Jesus came from, the man whom Jesus had healed him of blindness answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will” (John 9:29-31).

 

God heals. He also raises the dead. The Caucasian Professor, though he was clinically dead, God raised him from the dead through an anointed handkerchief. This is an awesome fruit. To God be the honour, power and glory!
