In 2004 after receiving the baptism of fire at John MacLennan's meeting in California without any laying of hands, I had a very strong urge to follow John MacLennan who was then known as the Apostle of Fire but God forbade me as I was to be prepared for a different role in the Body of Christ; not as a copy version of the Apostle of Fire but the Eastern version of a ministry of Fire that God was preparing and equipping me as written in my book, “The Arsenal of Fire”.
The Baptism of Fire stirred up my great passion for revival. God gave me the heart of the Father to raise up mighty and fearless end-time Warrior Brides vested in purity and holiness, preparing for the glorious return of our Lord Jesus.
God will turn on the fire of trials, tests and temptations if you are called to be a forerunner or revivalist. Your life will heat up and when you have reached the 'boiling point,' three things will result:-
- Sin and Self Are Purged Away.
- God's Power Begins Working in you and through you with exciting supernatural consequences.
- You will surely share the experiences of Paul. He wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:10, “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
John MacLennan told me that the consequences of fire anointing would come with the price of persecution and jealousy. If you have such privilege of going through the controversy that swirled around Jesus, then around the apostles, and since then around every major move of God in history, rejoice for the Spirit of Glory and of God rests on you (1 Peter 4:14).

I met John MacLennan again in 2015. After the meeting, God gave me a dream that he was going home. Then, the Lord prompted us to set up Arsenal of Fire Ministries, California. The ministry was incorporated on April 4, 2016. Eight months after the dream and four months after the ministry was set up, John went home to the Lord.
Rev Dr Elisha (Henry) Chieng who informed me about the demise of John MacLennan gave me this revelation in 2016:-
"With John's boxing and businessman background and he, being theologically untrained, his ministry of power and sudden appearance as a spiritual public hero, obviously cannot be accepted by conventional clergymen and layman leaders. Thus God did not allow him to promote himself or even his works. He is not accepted by his own people, the westerners, but warmly welcomed by the Chinese people through the recommendation of Rev Dr Ernest Chan.
With your background, being ecclesiastically untrained and your sudden appearance with power demonstration, you appear to be a disgrace to people; somewhat similar to how the Pharisees, Sadducees, priests and high priests felt about Jesus. You are not accepted here in your own country and yet so readily accepted in the USA among the Chinese. John MacLennan was somewhat like the forerunner paving your way, as John the Baptist did for Jesus. Though John was doubtful whether Jesus was the Coming One to bring about the new world order, our Lord cleared his doubt by reports and demonstrations of His signs and miracles. When John was gone, Jesus' public ministry commenced.
Your time has come. Be ready for many unexpected incidents to happen. Yet always be aware to give glory to God at all times just as Jesus did, even to the end. Yes, a new season has begun, and your time has come, John 14:12-14 is coming to pass in your life. Rejoice!"
An American prophet of high international standing, Rev David Wu 吴霆牧师 also wrote to me:-
"John MacLennan has gone home. You need to carry on the baton."
Since then, God has opened doors for us to speak in major cities, from New York all the way to the Holy City of Jerusalem and to the end of the Pacific Seas (New Zealand). The ministry produces awesome fruits and has become a hallmark of our God’s given ministry. Hallelujah!
