What is the purpose of the Baptism of Fire?

God is a Consuming Fire and He is Holy. The fire of His holiness can radiate. Psalms 97:3, “Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.”

We can absorb this holiness that surrounds Him by lingering in His manifest living glory - much like Moses who stood before a burning bush until he became a Flame of Fire (Hebrews 1:7). Moses absorbed a measure of the glory of God's holiness in such a way that he released deliverance to a nation. I believe that "absorbable" holiness will fill a generation of believers soon to be dispatched to the nations.

Will you remain in the holy presence until you "catch" it and become a burning one, a flame of fire to have the manifest burning presence of God Himself on display for the world? (See Isaiah 6:6-7).

The presence of His consuming fire (Malachi 3:2-4, Zechariah 13:9) will consume to cleanse, refine and purify us so that we can work with Him in Oneness, in greater measure and in obedience bearing the mark of true Sonship/disciple that:-

we are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:7) and manifest Jesus - Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). The old has gone, the new has come.
the fire will consume the dross in your life to make you His pure earthly vessel, free from bondages, die-to-self, which includes everything that is contrary to the fruit of the Spirit, making you more into the image of Christ.
it purges the dross of wrong purposes and motivations, leaving behind a concentrated focus on the things of God.
it trims away unnecessary desires of life, leaving behind the one burning desire to fulfill your God-given destiny and calling.
it melts away all the resistance that the enemy puts in your way to prevent you from proclaiming God's message.
it removes doubt, unbelief and fear.

The fire of God will transform believers from lukewarm to on fire for Him.

Evangelism - Ministering Fire Anointing

Evangelism is the heartbeat of God. It is God’s desire to save all men. Pastors have testified that after years of fruitless ministry, they return to their Churches and are seeing great fruit that they have not experienced before, after receiving the ministering fire anointing (fire impartation).

Education and training are good. In some cases, it is even required. However, without the ministering fire anointing, attempting to do the work of God will only lead to frustration, fear and despair.

In Churches today, some religiously-minded people attempt to put a stop to any new move of God that goes against their presumed knowledge of how God has operated in their own lives. This idolatry of the past causes people to react in fear as they try to defend God’s past behaviour. They do not realise that our God is a God of Life, and life is all about creating something new.

If we need to receive this ministering fire anointing, we need to allow God to remove our fear of man and we need to accept, embrace and walk through the dealings of God in our life. It is the heartbeat of God to fuel and transform His ministers into Flames of Fire (Hebrews 1:7).

Those who are flames of fire, are scorching Flames that set their surrounding aflame with the burning presence of God, the Consuming Fire. Just being in their old norm community (old wine and old wine skin) yield results in the congregation that years of training and effort had previously failed to accomplish. Hallelujah!

Growing Beyond Borders

I like the forum’s tagline ‘Growing Beyond Borders.’ This forum was conducted by four Malaysian entrepreneurs which include my eldest son George Ang, CEO of A&W Malaysia, his latest acquisition. A&W is rapidly expanding the business in Malaysia. As George’s other food businesses have grown beyond borders, the Lord has also opened doors for AOF to go beyond borders in quicker aspect, to plant the seed.

Saul spent most of his time as king trying to prevent others from getting what he had. Saul never got to the level with God in which he was a grateful recipient of God's goodness to him. Saul was a religious controller. This control led to his disobedience unto God and ultimately he was rejected by God because he no longer was a vessel God could use. 1 Samuel 28:17, "The Lord has torn the kingdom out of your hands and given it to one of your neighbors - to David.”

Odds were against us when we incorporated this fire ministry 13 years ago. Not only did our new ministry not get any help from any Christian organizations, pastors used their position of influence to isolate us and our mentors disassociated with us. It was not Saul who promoted David as Saul was zealously guarding his position of kingship, but God used Goliath to promote David. Likewise, while the pastors used their influence for their own reasons to shut the domestic doors upon us, God opened our ministries to spread the fire beyond border.

We set up our fire ministries in cities that we could never have imagined. In February 2019, we were blessed to have leaders from nine nations to attend our inaugural 'School of Fire Starters.’

If God is for you, who can be against you (Romans 8:31). No power of darkness can stop what the Lord has ordained (Isaiah 14:27)

Share this testimony from a pastor on how he has witnessed our ministry grew from glory to glory with the awesome manifest Presence of God. If you are going through similar difficulties, I hope this testimony will encourage and bless you.

Many great forerunners said that there is such a tangible manifest presence of His glory when they came to visit us.

The Hallmark of AOF Global

In 2004 after receiving the baptism of fire at John MacLennan's meeting in California without any laying of hands, I had a very strong urge to follow John MacLennan who was then known as the Apostle of Fire but God forbade me as I was to be prepared for a different role in the Body of Christ; not as a copy version of the Apostle of Fire but the Eastern version of a ministry of Fire that God was preparing and equipping me as written in my book, “The Arsenal of Fire”.

The Baptism of Fire stirred up my great passion for revival. God gave me the heart of the Father to raise up mighty and fearless end-time Warrior Brides vested in purity and holiness, preparing for the glorious return of our Lord Jesus.

God will turn on the fire of trials, tests and temptations if you are called to be a forerunner or revivalist. Your life will heat up and when you have reached the 'boiling point,' three things will result:-

Sin and Self Are Purged Away.
God's Power Begins Working in you and through you with exciting supernatural consequences.
You will surely share the experiences of Paul. He wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:10, “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

John MacLennan told me that the consequences of fire anointing would come with the price of persecution and jealousy. If you have such privilege of going through the controversy that swirled around Jesus, then around the apostles, and since then around every major move of God in history, rejoice for the Spirit of Glory and of God rests on you (1 Peter 4:14).

I met John MacLennan again in 2015. After the meeting, God gave me a dream that he was going home. Then, the Lord prompted us to set up Arsenal of Fire Ministries, California. The ministry was incorporated on April 4, 2016. Eight months after the dream and four months after the ministry was set up, John went home to the Lord.

Rev Dr Elisha (Henry) Chieng who informed me about the demise of John MacLennan gave me this revelation in 2016:-

"With John's boxing and businessman background and he, being theologically untrained, his ministry of power and sudden appearance as a spiritual public hero, obviously cannot be accepted by conventional clergymen and layman leaders. Thus God did not allow him to promote himself or even his works. He is not accepted by his own people, the westerners, but warmly welcomed by the Chinese people through the recommendation of Rev Dr Ernest Chan.

With your background, being ecclesiastically untrained and your sudden appearance with power demonstration, you appear to be a disgrace to people; somewhat similar to how the Pharisees, Sadducees, priests and high priests felt about Jesus. You are not accepted here in your own country and yet so readily accepted in the USA among the Chinese. John MacLennan was somewhat like the forerunner paving your way, as John the Baptist did for Jesus. Though John was doubtful whether Jesus was the Coming One to bring about the new world order, our Lord cleared his doubt by reports and demonstrations of His signs and miracles. When John was gone, Jesus' public ministry commenced.

Your time has come. Be ready for many unexpected incidents to happen. Yet always be aware to give glory to God at all times just as Jesus did, even to the end. Yes, a new season has begun, and your time has come, John 14:12-14 is coming to pass in your life. Rejoice!"

An American prophet of high international standing, Rev David Wu 吴霆牧师 also wrote to me:-

"John MacLennan has gone home. You need to carry on the baton."

Since then, God has opened doors for us to speak in major cities, from New York all the way to the Holy City of Jerusalem and to the end of the Pacific Seas (New Zealand). The ministry produces awesome fruits and has become a hallmark of our God’s given ministry. Hallelujah!

Donkey - Vessel of Honor

In Luke 19:35-36, the disciples brought the donkey to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the donkey and put Jesus on it. As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road."

Jesus did not step on the cloaks. It was the donkey who walked on the cloaks because the donkey was carrying Jesus. The donkey became a vessel of honor.

The donkey is a symbol of humility, and utter dependence upon God which is demonstrated by those who are entrusted with spiritual empowerment. The donkey did not do anything except to carry Jesus.

Likewise, we become a vessel of honor when we carry the manifest presence of the Lord Jesus, His fire and glory. When we carry Jesus with His manifest presence of fire and glory, we do not need to use our carnal mean and effort to minister. His fire and glory will do His works.

All His works shall glorify His name! Hallelujah!

Living the Christian Life

The SECRET of living the Christian life is die to-self otherwise our spiritual life will have little real progress, lack the discernment to be able to pray, see and walk in the Spirit according to His will. Jesus taught us this prayer, “Thy Kingdom comes, Thy will be done” (Matthew 6:10).

The best protection is to be in His will. In the desert, the rebellious Israelites were bitten by poisonous snakes and scorpions when they strayed out of the covering of the fire pillars and clouds.

In 2007, 23 pastors and missionaries from South Korea had surely prayed and fasted before embarking on their trip to Afghanistan. However, it was against the directives given by their Churches and country authorities not to risk travelling into Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, they were kidnaped by terrorists.

Were they doing what God called them to do?

A man of God wrote:- “No one on earth prayed more, fasted more, read the Bible more, had a greater hope in the coming of the Messiah, or had more zeal for the things of God than the Pharisees. Yet, they were the greatest opposers of God and His Messiah when He came”

God uses the blood to cleanse us from our sins, but He uses the CROSS to crucify the flesh...and as Paul said, “I die daily” (1 Corinthians 15:31). Dying to-self, there will be little resistance to fully surrender our lives to God.

William Booth, “The greatness of a man’s power is the measure of His surrender.”

Two lives cannot live in one body. One is a life full of things, while the other is a life that is full of Christ. That is why we must die-to-self so that Christ can live in us FULLY. And if Christ lives in us fully in His manifest glory (John 14:11,21,23) Christ’s power will also rest on us with His favour. To be Christ-like, we have to share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory” (Romans 8:17).

If you are called to be a forerunner or a revivalist, don't think that when the Holy Spirit starts moving, people are going to love you. Just like the book of Acts, when the noise of stirring and moving of the Spirit begins, so does persecution. People will accuse you of being a cult and speak evil about you. They will want to destroy you, like the history of past revival faced by people like John Wesley, the famous evangelist John Sung and many others.

Prof Jack Deere wrote: "Think of the controversy that swirled around Jesus, then around the apostles, and since then around every major move of God in history. No man of God has carried a great anointing without having to bear the kind of accusations. The religious leaders would spread gross lies and rumors about anointed men of God perhaps out of fear of losing some of the congregation to the person. However, Jesus told his disciples, "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me" (Matthew 5:11).

Saint-Denis of Paris

Saint-Denis of Paris was a 3rd century Christian and the Bishop of Paris. In the days of persecution, they decapitated his head, he carried it in his hands and walked 6 miles preaching and telling people to repent of their sins and give their lives to Christ. He preached repentance with his head in his hands. After about 6 miles, he slumped and went to be with the Lord.

Today, we have Christians who are not moved by the multitude of souls trooping to hell. Christians who are not ready to lay anything down for God and are only concerned about what to eat, what to drive and fly.

Pastors whose God is their stomach. ( Philippians 3: 19 )

Christians who go to church every Sunday to show their latest style of dress, new hairstyle and shoe, with no soul to present to God and turned the church of God to business, money changers in the Temple.

When they get an attendance report every Sunday, it is money, financial report they look at first. All they care about is how much came in. Some don't bother to know how many souls were won. How many souls escape the unquenchable flames of hell?

Greed has crept into the souls of many shepherds and choked their original motive. God sent them to the world, but the world sent them from God with vain, transient and mundane things of this world. Shepherds that are making the Labour of authentic Kingdom heroes past to be in vain. If we continue like this, and Jesus tarries to come, only God knows the future of Christianity in the world. But there are people rising. Oh God, please help us!

The Calling of Samson 【参孙的呼召】

Everyone has a calling in the Body of Christ to serve His divine purpose to glorify His name. We can never understand how God works or the ways that He chooses an earthy vessel to work with as the Lord declares in Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Daniel 4:35, “All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as He pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: “What have you done?”

Fred Smith wrote:- “Samson had no wisdom, no maturity, no relationships of any value. We usually equate consecration with spiritual maturity, piety, godliness, our goal being to be more Christlike. Samson lacked all these qualities. Perhaps he was raised up in the same way as Pharaoh-to display God’s power and then be destroyed.

Samson was impulsive, spoilt, demanding, arrogant, and lacking in judgment. He showed no hint of kindness or love nor displayed any evidence of a life stirred by the Spirit. He was actually cruel and vindictive, incapable of discernment and immune to advice.”

Yet, Samson was consecrated for God’s use to defeat an enemy and bring down an entire government. His epitaph read, “He killed many more when he died than while he lived.” Isn’t that what he was set apart to do?”

Once you are aware of your calling and who you are in Christ, you won’t be critical or judgmental about the calling of others just because they don’t serve the Lord the way you are called to do so.

The Ministry of Light 【光的事工】

Paul was a very religious man. Religion has always been the greatest hindrance to the move of God. The result of religion is spiritual dryness, false humility, tradition, false standard, false yokes, dead letters and unfruitfulness. It leads to spiritual blindness and like many of the Pharisees who were self-righteous, self-conceited that they had never known light; all they possess were doctrines and knowledge.

Watchman Nee quotes: ‘For example, at Christ's birth, those who sought Him earnestly (the Magi) had little knowledge of the Scriptures; whereas those having great knowledge of the Scriptures (the Teachers of the Law and Chief Priests) did not seek Him. By this we can see that having scriptural knowledge does not necessary mean one knows God.’

Jesus said in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” When the light flashed upon Saul on his way to Damascus (Acts 9:3), Saul fell to the ground and for three days, he could see nothing in his eyes except his sins. It set him free from the religious sins and transformed him from the worst among sinners Saul to Paul the Apostle.

The light that flashed upon Paul transformed him into a flame of fire (Hebrews 1:7). He became a fiery gospel preacher of miracles, signs & wonders (Romans 15:18-19, 1 Corinthians 1:7, 2:4-5, 4:20). The light can also flash upon anyone of you; that the impartation of light or fire (Baptism of Fire) will cleanse, purify, empower you and open your spiritual senses to see what the religious people could not see.

Baptism of Fire will give God’s chosen earthly vessels the character of humility to carry the gifts. This is the foundation of Christ’s character of humility with the heart of Sonship to do the will of the Father by going to the Cross, which is absolute obedience. False humility will not take us to our destination, only true humility will.

那从天上照着保罗的光把他变成了神的火焰（希伯来书1：7）。他成为一个火热的神迹奇事和百般异能的福音布道家（罗马书15：18-19，歌林多前书1：7，2：4-5，4：20）。这光也可以照在你们任何人身上; 光或火的分赐（火的洗礼）将洁净、净化、膏抹你，并打开你的属灵感官，使你能看见那些宗教人士所看不见的事物。

火的洗礼将使上帝所选择的器皿拥有谦卑的品格来承载神的恩赐。这是基督谦卑品格的基础，以儿子之心，上十字架去完成父的旨意，这是绝对的顺服。虚假的谦卑将不能带我们到达目的地，只有真正的谦卑才能。

一切荣耀归于上帝！
