In life, there will always be people who try to squeeze us into their moulds. They will pressure us to fit into who they want us to be. They may be good people and may mean well. But the problem is that they are not the ones who have created and anointed us to be who we are supposed to be. God is. If we are going to be all that God wants us to be and live in His perfect will for our lives, we cannot change our God-given mandate with every criticism that impinges upon us, no matter what. If we live our lives to win the favour and approval of others, we will have to go through life being manipulated and squeezed into their box of who they think we ought to be.
On Judgment Day, we are not going to stand before people to give an account of our lives, but instead we are going to stand before the Almighty God. He is not going to say, “Why didn’t you do what so-and-so told you to do? Why didn’t you fit into their mould? Why didn’t you take their opinion?” No, He is going to ask, “Did you become who I created you to be? Did you stay true to what I put in your heart?” We must stay true to who God has called us to be.
The odds were against us when we incorporated this fire ministries in 2007. However, we stay faithful and committed to the mission that the Lord has called us despite the severe difficulties, hardships and being insulted.
However, REJOICE if you are insulted for you are blessed as the Spirit of Glory and of God rests on a fully surrendered heart that is willing to stay committed and obedient to the calling of God (1 Peter 4:14).
2 Corinthians 12:10
Paul said, “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
