The Power of Words

Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:3, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.”

Paul was right. C. H. Spurgeon said: “A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have crowns entertaining the goats.”

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD will be on you to affirm the calling of God (Isaiah 61:1, Luke 4:18) for you to proclaim the gospel with given God’s power and authority. Your ministry will bear awesome fruits if the Spirit of Glory rests on you.

A man of God wrote:- “God never calls without anointing the person that He sends. Nothing can take its place. Education, enthusiasm, talent and energy are very important, but without God's anointing, they mean nothing in the Kingdom of God.”

He further quoted:- “We are in the power business. Evangelism is not about pushing ideas, or even about pushing doctrines. Doctrines are good, but like lumps of coal in the coal shed, they are dead. When put in the furnace, they become glowing coals, releasing their energy. The gospel is truth on fire.”

The Word of God is Spirit and Life (John 6:63), living and active (Hebrews 4:12) and like fire (Jeremiah 23:29) and if the person is anointed and sent by God, signs and wonders will follow the preaching of the WORD.

However, only faith-filled believers can be used to demonstrate His words with signs & wonders following. People who lack faith but instead are mired with doubt and unbelief are not people God can use in the ministry of miracles, signs and wonders.

Demonstrations of power expand the faith of His Church as well as bring people to repentance. If you desire to be empowered for ministry, be with people of strong faith and encourage one another with testimonies, giving glory to God. Anointing is contagious and will radiate. Stay clear of people who will pollute your mind with fear,  doubt and unbelief.

We must have the manifest presence of His glory on display to the world, demonstrating the power of His Words with signs and wonders following (1 Corinthians 2:4).

May this message bless you and God be glorified!
