The Power of Words (Part 2)

The Word of God was written as inspired by the Holy Spirit. Before God can send us to speak, manifesting the ‘dunamis’ power of His words with signs accompanying, He will send His fire to cleanse and purify our lips. God will not use an uncleaned lip which the devil has taken captive to do his will (2 Tim 2:26).

Isaiah said to the Lord, ‘Here am I, send me’ only after one of the seraphs flew to him with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched Isaiah’s mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for” (Isaiah 6:6-8).

In these last days, God will release the glorious flame from His throne room to purify the Body of Christ. This is the best that is to come and the world is about to witness a much greater measure of God’s glory being poured down on the earth.

Clean living water can only flow out from a cleansed and purified earthen vessel to speak His words which are Spirit and Life (John 6:63) Living and Active (Hebrews 4:12) and like Fire (Jeremiah 23:29), in order to manifest the power of His words to touch and transform lives.

Watchman Nee wrote in his book ‘Secrets to Spiritual Power’ : ... “Men do not choose to consecrate themselves to God; it is God who chooses men to be consecrated for Him. All who believe they are doing a favor by forsaking everything to serve Him are actually strangers to consecration. Let them make a hasty retreat, for they are not the chosen.”

Jesus said to His disciples in John 15:16, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit–fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.”

Many desire to serve God but God sees the heart and chooses an earthly vessel who will work with Him to do according to His will as He said in Matthew 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”

In 1 Samuel 16:7 the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

David has a heart for God and if our heart is right and our motive is pure, we will be the vessels that God can use for His glory. Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God” (Matthew 5:8). “

In the modern technological world, it is the state-of-the-art that counts; in the kingdom of God, it is the state-of-the-heart that matters.

May God bless your desire to work with Him and God be glorified through this sharing!
