The sound of a roaring lion is an expression of the fierceness of His wrath against His enemies. This is a powerful warfare anointing that will defeat the enemies. The Scriptures are full of references of God roaring against his human and spiritual enemies. Let’s look at the following list:
Isaiah 42:13
“The Lord will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior He will stir up his zeal; with a shout He will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.”
Jeremiah 25:30
“...The Lord will roar from on high; he will thunder from his holy dwelling and roar mightily against his land. He will shout like those who tread the grapes, shout against all who live on the earth.”
Hosea 11:10-11
“They will follow the Lord; He will roar like a lion. When He roars, his children will come trembling from the west. They will come trembling like birds from Egypt, like doves from Assyria. I will settle them in their homes,” declares the Lord.
Joel 3:16
“The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.”
Amos 1:2
“... The Lord roars from Zion and thunders from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds dry up, and the top of Carmel withers.”
Amos 3:7-8
“Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. The lion has roared–who will not fear? The Sovereign Lord has spoken–who can but prophesy?”
The Book of Revelations reveals that when God roars, shakings and judgment will begin on earth (Revelation 8:5, 11:3, 11:19, 16:18). God releases His roar from the belly of His people today. These manifestations happen because there is an impartation of the anointing. In many occasions, power will go out from the minister to empower, release, heal or stir up spiritual gifts in others. This is similar to Jesus’ experience when He said, “someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me” (Luke 8:46).
Our God is a supernatural God. So it is not surprising that whenever He touches us, there is a supernatural reaction from our spirit. As a church, it is our responsibility to observe, test, discern and verify whether these reactions or manifestations are truly from God. Certainly the acid tests are the Scriptures, verifiable universal experiences and the fruit of the ministry as the final test. The fruits are the greatest endorsement.
In New York City 2017, we ministered in a fire revival meeting in an old Church building. We had to activate the Lion of Judah’s warrior anointing to clear the spiritual darkness surrounding the Church. Thereafter, we had an awesome three nights fire revival meeting.
