The Price of Sonship

Before you judge my life, my past or my character … Walk in my shoes, walk the path I have traveled, live my sorrow, my doubts, my fear, my pain and my laughter. REMEMBER! Everyone has a story. When you’ve lived my life then you can judge me.

I have many testimonies of my walk with God which I have fearlessly testified and bore witness for Him. And God never fails to manifest His presence accompanying with signs to bless the listeners. Testimony is a very powerful tool in evangelism. If you are willing to bear witness for Him, heaven will back you up.

I share two of my testimonies:-

The price for pursuing Sonship can be a very costly and painful process. It’s only by God’s grace and mercy that we are able to place Him above all else; to love Him with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind and with all our strength; and love our neighbour as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). For apart from Him, we can do nothing as we need His love, the fear of the Lord and strength to die-to-self daily in order to have the humility to obey God. Obedience to do the will of the Father is a mark of Sonship (Romans 8:15-17).

Below are two of my testimonies, and I pray that they will also encourage you. When I stepped into my ordained calling, I was put through a series of tests whether I was prepared to leave everything behind (Matthew 19:29 NKJV) in order to demonstrate my love for Him ((Matthew 22:37-38, John 14:21,23) and not looking back (Luke 9:62). Though I was very much on fire for God, being a young Christian, I was somehow ignorant. As a result, I went through fiery trials, severe insults and rejections by most of my friends in Church. Many pastors including my two mentors kept their distance (it’s by the grace of God, they are now my good friends).

In one of the tests of obedience, I had to sacrifice my treasured unbelieving life partner who was not only very capable in helping me to manage my then secular businesses, but also our home too. She was my ‘Issac’, whom the Lord wants me to lay down. After I became a radical Christian by my zeal as a God-chaser, she became very critical over my new faith and lifestyle. Finally, without hesitation, she angrily walked out of me (1 Corinthians 7:15). I was not permitted to contact her until 13 years had passed. By then, her heart was ready to receive our Lord Jesus Christ as saviour. Praise God!

On April 2, 2024 she passed into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

My other Isaac was my two commercial penthouse properties located in the prime district of Singapore which I bought about 3 decades ago. Back then, the two properties were yielding a monthly rental of S$9,000. Having fully surrendered my life to the Lord, He wanted me to dedicate the two units for His use as a ministry and prayer house venue. It was indeed a great struggle for me, as at a time, there was a high demand in the rental of commercial properties, with a sudden surge in the rental price, which was indeed a very attractive income.

God was pleased with my obedience and He filled me with His fullness (John 3:34, Col 1:19). The Spirit of Glory and His Spirit rested upon me powerfully. This was evident that in ALL our meetings from the Atlantic Ocean (NYC) to West and East Asia (Jerusalem, China, Taiwan etc) to Pacific sea of Australia and New Zealand, we had mini revivals with an awesome move of the Holy Spirit. With the ministry bearing tremendous fruits, so were the insults and slanders that came with the hosting of the Spirit of Glory and His Spirit as per 1 Peter 4:14, “If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.”

A man of God wrote: "Think of the controversy that swirled around Jesus, then around the apostles, and since then around every major move of God in history. No man of God has carried a great anointing without having to bear the kind of accusations. The religious leaders would spread gross lies and rumors about anointed men of God perhaps out of fear of losing some of the congregation to the person. However, Jesus told his disciples, "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me" (Matthew 5:11).

It is sad that jealousy exists in the body of Christ, especially when God raise up other more powerful ministries (Acts 5:17, 17:5).

Due to the controversies surrounding our ministry, one of our AOF advisor’s ministry team members, even felt he has an occult spirit because of his association with me. However, they changed their perspective after witnessing his teaching and ministering according to biblical truth.

In order to provide them with an insight of my ministry, he sent them a link of the endorsements by many outstanding servants of God on my latest book ‘Transforming Fire’’.

He also wrote, “Please note that God's calling on Rev Dr Paul K P Ang, his dedication, his sacrificial deeds, and fruitfulness upon the life of many outstanding servants of God, his critics just cannot match with him.”

We are blessed to have respected men of God as AOF advisors. This advisor who has been misunderstood, also encouraged me with the following message:-

“Your fire impartation ministry is somewhat similar to Jesus's. The "new wine" ministry of Jesus offended many during His days. They were ignorant of His love, grace and power, like the brother of the prodigal son; religious leaders who were like Pharisees; and church leaders who were authoritative like the Sadducees and the high priests. Yet, through signs and wonders, you have impacted many lives and empowered church leaders to greater heights in their ministries to advance God's kingdom and for His Glory. Cheers.”

To God be the honour, power and glory!

God bless!
