I thank God for blessing me with a great friend, the late Dato Chua Jui Meng, Chairman of Revival Fire Movement, a fast-growing evangelism ministry in Malaysia. He had an illustrious political career. But I know him more for his devotion in serving God through his evangelistic works since 2004. I learned that he had ministered in 14 countries.
Dato Chua's demise on Dec 3, 2023 is great loss to many, especially to me. I will miss his leadership and brotherly support. I came to know him through the Revival Fire Movement. Though we only knew each other for a few years, he stood with me and boldly defended me against those who were critical of my fire ministry. He was truly a loyal brother-in-Christ who would help another brother when he deemed the brother was unfairly treated. He reminded me of Edmund Burke who once said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing".
Dato Chua encouraged me in my ministry and life. Recently, he endorsed my new book, “Transforming Fire” which was launched on November 25, 2023. I'm grateful for his encouragement and support which has opened new ministry opportunities for me.
Dato Chua's small acts of kindness touched me greatly. Despite his seniority in age and status, whenever he sent me back to my son’s house when I visited Kuala Lumpur, he would always accompanied me up to the door step. His care and humility left a lasting impression upon me.
I've lost a great friend and a wonderful brother-in-Christ. His enthusiasm to advance the Kingdom of God through active evangelism has impacted me to be more focused on the work of salvation through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Dato Chua, you've completed your race, you've fought the good fight. The ministry of Revival Fire Movement which you pioneered is in the capable hands of your ministry partners. You've left a lasting legacy for us and the generations after us to remember you by.
Thank you my friend and faithful brother. I'll not say "good-bye". You've just gone ahead of me and I'll meet you again.
